Pekerjaan saya sebagai sekretaris terus berkembang seiring dengan tingkat kedudukan sekretaris serta tugas dari pimpinan. Sejalan dengan kemajuan teknologi dan tingkat kebutuhan yang tinggi, pekerjaan semakin bertambah. Dari masa ke masa pekerjaan saya awalnya hanya membantu pimpinan di kantor dalam menangani surat-menyurat, selanjutnya tugas saya semakin diperluas dengan pekerjaan lainnya dalam membantu pimpinan. Sekarang seorang sekretaris pada umumnya adalah seseorang yang membantu pimpinan untuk meringankan pekerjaannya agar pimpinan dapat bertindak secara efektif dan efisien dalam melaksanakan tugasnya. Seorang sekretaris juga merupakan cerminan dari sebuah perusahaan atau kantor tempat bekerja, maka sekretaris yang baik adalah sekretaris yang mampu membawa dan menempatkan dirinya dimanapun dia berada. Selalu bersikap profesional dalam menghadapi masalah. Bersikap ramah kepada siapa saja dan selalu siap membantu tanpa merasa dirinya paling benar.
